The students from "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School, city of Sopot, joined the National initiative to mark 151 years since the death of the Apostle of Freedom, at the idea of ​​Secondary School "St. Paisii Hilendarski" - Plovdiv.

On this memorable day, in the hometown of Gina Kuncheva, in the city where Deacon Ignatius left his mark in the monastery of Saint Spas, in the city where legends about the Apostle's travails flow through the cobbled streets, they recited together Botev's poem "The Hanging of Vasil Levski" in the classrooms, in the school library and with the citizens of Sopot in front of the monument of Vasil Ivanov Kunchev.

The quiz "Tell me about the Apostle" was conducted by students from IV, V and VI classes, led by Mrs. Furnadzhieva, Mrs. Vasileva and Mr. Berliev. The competition was held in four rounds, where the fifth-graders showed knowledge about the life and revolutionary activities of Vasil Ivanov Kunchev and his family.

On the eve of the memorable date for Bulgaria, February 19th, 1873, the students of the 4th grade at "Ivan Vazov"- Secondary School, Sopot, held a lesson on patriotism. Mr. Nikolay Vasilev introduced the children to the life and work of Vasil Ivanov Kunchev and to the oath sheet and the attributes of the co-conspirators. Mrs. Dochka Kalamova and Mr. Petar Prmov presented a poetic recital of poems about the Apostle. The event is an initiative of the Bulgarian Red Cross-Sopot.
