On the eve of the memorable date for Bulgaria, February 19th, 1873, the students of the 4th grade at "Ivan Vazov"- Secondary School, Sopot, held a lesson on patriotism. Mr. Nikolay Vasilev introduced the children to the life and work of Vasil Ivanov Kunchev and to the oath sheet and the attributes of the co-conspirators. Mrs. Dochka Kalamova and Mr. Petar Prmov presented a poetic recital of poems about the Apostle. The event is an initiative of the Bulgarian Red Cross-Sopot.

Section "Young Friends of the Army" of "Vasil Levski" Secondary school, city of Karlovo, organized a lesson on patriotism on the eve of the school's Patron Saint's Day. In it, the hosts presented curious facts about Bulgarian generals, students from "Hristo Prodanov" Secondary school and "Hristo Smirnenski" Vocational school in Karlovo, "General Vladimir Zaimov" Vocational school and "Ivan Vazov" Secondary school in Sopot and "Todor Vlaikov" Vocational school in Klisura.
Gabriela Shumanska, Deya Doinova, Polina Selakova and Siyana Kakanasheva from 7.A class introduced the audience to the life and work of lieutenant colonel Dimo Hristov Matev, born in Sopot, a participant in the Balkan War and the First World War.

Students from 5.B and 5.V classes at "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School joined in celebrating this day and sent their letters to the school library. The letters contained favorite poems and essays. All were unique, written in authentic handwriting, artistically designed and arranged in an exhibition.
