Final meeting on the project „UNITED IN CULTURAL DIVERSITY” PDF Print

From 1st to 5th of May 2010 in Greece was held the last meeting on the project “ United in cultural diversity”. Students and teachers from "Ivan Vazov” Secondary School participated in events which had been organized by the hosts.

A touch to the cradle of the civilization - ancient ruins /Acropolis with the Parthenon, Erehtiona and the Temple of the goddess Nike, Arch of Hadrian, the Temple of Zeus, Syntagma and Omoniya Square, the Parliament, the Academy, the Library/. It was so exciting to see the originals of the pictures in the textbooks of literature and history in the modern glass building of the museum, built on the excavations and ruins. The Planetarium impressed with modern equipment and incredible 3D show. All guests had the opportunity to know Piraeus, to walk on the immense port, to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets, to swim in the Aegean Sea. Trips by a ferry and a boat generated unforgettable emotions. We enjoyed the romantic walks around the Island of Poros and the Peloponnese Peninsula, the beautiful view, the quiet steep streets with neat houses, surrounded by the most beautiful flowers.

On the final meeting students and teachers from the host school gave a concert to the partners from Bulgaria, Romania, Poland and Turkey, local authorities and parents. They presented theatrical, musical and dance heritage of Greece. Special greeting to Bulgaria was the song "One Bulgarian Rose.

All partners were happy they had an opportunity to participate in this project. They will keep a lot of photos, memories and great friendships.

Second work meeting on the project "Golden Treasure We Share" PDF Print

          From 21st to 25th April, 2010 students and teachers from "Ivan Vazov"Secondaty School welcomed guests on the project “Golden Treasure We Share” funded by Comenius.
         Students and teachers from 5 countries: Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania and Turkey have studied “Golden ratio” in the field of biology. They found it in the human body, flowers in fruit and vegetables on the work sessions. On the second day the guests- students and teachers visited Kalofer Eco path and continued with the findings of the golden proportion in nature.The projects were elaborated on the theme "Environment – Sources of pollution and How to protect nature" and then students arranged an exhibition. Participants presented attractive Power Point presentations about Bulgaia, about “Golden Section in Nature” and about natural beauties in the native countries.

        The guests visited our town, Karlovo, Kalofer and Veliko Tarnovo. We prepared for them and showed them traditional Bulgarian dishes and presented our folk songs and dances.

Third meting on the project “Beyond words” PDF Print

From 13 to 16 April 2010 students and teachers from "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School, Sopot visited the city of Constanta, Romania on the international school project "Beyond Words". All partners from Romania, Finland, Turkey, Holland, Greece, Italy, Spain presented the lessons about the symbols of their countries and prepared information for a magazine.
The hosts showed the sights and museums of the city of Constanta and Tulcea city.
There was organized a cruise on the Danube Delta.
