The national mini-volleyball tournament for the Bulstrad Cup started, after a two-year break, on October 17th , 2023 in the city of Plovdiv. The tournament is a traditional platform that supports local communities by creating conditions for teenagers and their families to have fun and spend more time together. The initiative is long-term and aimed at developing the social skills of students through sports activities presented in an attractive way for them.

14 teams from the Plovdiv region participated in the school competition. The children enthusiastically played volleyball at a high level and had fun with the program and raffle prepared by the hosts.

The students from the 5th and 6th grades at the "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School, led by Ralitsa Dimova - a physical education and sports teacher, took part in the tournament. They played confidently, with good technique and sportsmanship until the last point in the matches.

"Ivan Vazov" Secondary school, Sopot, celebrated the European programming week. Desislava Vidolova - computer modeling and information technology teacher motivates through challenges and in a fun way builds the digital literacy of her students. The fourth graders "walked" through the steps of the code, following the algorithms given to them to create different images. The students of the 6th grade created a game "Bulgaria" in Scratch, asking and answering questions related to geographical landmarks of Bulgaria.

"Ivan Vazov" Secondary school-Sopot received funding for 2023 from the Ministry of Environment and Water. The winning project aims to increase the environmental culture and self-awareness of our students, to change the environment in which they not only learn, but also spend a large part of their time. The goal is to break the traditional forms of learning in a Green Classroom, to initiate good practices and initiatives in an informal environment, to stimulate the creative inclinations, interests and potential of each student.

The students of the 5th A grade first held a laboratory lesson in the new classroom, during the Man and Nature lesson. Under the guidance of Mrs. Dafinka Ivanova, they measured the temperature of the soil and air (in the sun and in the shade), of tap water and of icy water.

The furniture for the Green Classroom is made by the company "SITERA 83" EOOD.
