A meeting on the project "Golden Treasure We Share" in Poland PDF Print

From 4 to 9 October 2010 was held the 3rd meeting in Stroza, Poland. Representatives from School "Ivan Vazov" were Ivelina Dusova – a coordinator, Anna Yunakova – an Art teacher and Neliyan Nedkov – an assistant-headmaster and students from 11 class - Diana Manolova, Donka Atanasova, Ivelina Mineva, Stilyana Stoyanova, Nikolai Smolinski and Yordanka Atanasova –from 10 class. Presentations about Republic of Poland and Architecture and art and Golden-section were presented by the participants from each country. During the workshops students created models of buildings which contained the proportions of the Golden Ratio. Our students worked out a model of the Monument of “Shipka”.
The hosts organized trips to: Krakow - one of the oldest cities in Poland and the city which is under the protection of UNESCO, a city of Lublin - a region city and cultural and historic old town, now an important industrial center and a resort with mineral springs and a beautiful park. An amazing experience was the visiting of the town of Velichka which was covering a former seabed. The project participants did expedition in a salt mine and revealed a magnificent underground world created by miners over the centuries.
The project is going to the end and all students are a little sad. The meetings enrich and deep students’ knowledge of mathematics and informatics, biology and science, art and music. The communicative and cultural heritage values are important and it is saved not only in albums but also in the hearts of students and teachers from the different nations.
