On March 20^th 2013,students from ‘Ivan Vazov’, Sopot in 5^th,6^th and 7^th grades participated in the third edition of Bulgarian National English Spelling Bee. The coordinator, Mrs Berberova gave the start of the competition- the majority of participants were trained very well. Detelina Cheshmedjieva from 6b and Petar Pivchev from 7b reached the final. The winner is Petar Pivchev. It is the second time that Spelling Bee has been held in our school and it is organized by Peace Corps and Ministry of Education, The American Embassy and America for Bulgaria Foundation. Over 4,500 Bulgarian students aged 9-14, from 260 schools will compete in next three rounds of Spelling Bee.

On April 20^th 2013, Detelina Cheshmedjieva and Petar Pivchev are going to take part in the second round of Spelling Bee in town of Plovdiv.
