The Second National Review of Choreography for students from primary and secondary schools was held on June 9th 2013 in the town of Plovdiv at 5p.m.The national initiative is organized by the Regional Inspectorate of Education, Plovdiv and its director Mrs. Ivanka Kirkova, Plovdiv Municipality, ‘St. St. Cyril and Methodius’ Secondary school, Plovdiv and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science. ‘A Folklore Tangle’ started with a festival defile of participants to the Ancient Theatre at 5 o’clock p.m. At 5.30 p. m. Mrs. Nely Spasova, the senior expert in Art in RIE, Plovdiv opened the festival. In the festival, over 300 participants or 14 dancing formations from different schools from Plovdiv Municipality took part. A dancing formation of 56 students from ‘Ivan Vazov’ Secondary school, Sopot and their instructress Mrs. Margarita Gudeva competed in two classes. The students presented thematic compositions with own music accompaniment – one of the musician was a student from 4th grade. The students from 3rd and 4th Grade performed a folklore dance called ‘Wallachian dance’. The students from 5th and 8th Grade performed a dancing composition called ‘Fire-dancers’. Both dancing compositions provoked the audience’s loud applause. The participants of the festival were awarded with diplomas by Mrs. Elena Tarnichkova, the senior expert in Music in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science. The festival finished with a mass chain dance! |
