On March 4, 2015, 25 students from "Ivan Vazov" Secondary school, Sopot took part in  the Fifth National Spelling Bee Competition. Students from 3rd to 7th grade had to learn a list of 500 words given at the beginning of December, and only 28 managed to pass the preliminary test. A jury of English teachers monitored  and evaluated the participants. At the last round was between the fifth and the seventh graders Velin Dimov and Plamen Hristozov. Velin Dimov  from 7^th “A” class won the first place in the school level, Plamen Hristozov ranked the second place. Both students are going to present our school at the regional competition on April 18, 2015  in Plovdiv.
