The fifteenth competition “Nature is our home” was held in the National Palace of Children, Sofia on 22th April, the Earth Day. Seven school teams by three participants in each team took part in it, children were from 5th to 8th class. High School "Ivan Vazov", Sopot  was presented at it for the second time. Krasimira from 7 v, Velin Dimov - 7a and Nenko Kovachev-6v with their teacher Dafinka Ivanova won the bronze medals at the competition. The ranking is as a result of the evaluation of a project titled "Animals in Karlovo valley", a written description about the "Reserve Sokolna" and an oral communication on them, answering on jury’s questions about recognizing of protected bird and plants, an ecologic presentation "City in the future" and presenting objects from recycled materials. Mrs Badova and her students had helped with the layout of the futuristic city, EPA- English with their teacher Marina Aleksandrova had prepared the costumes of the future by recycled materials.  The attractive presentation of future costumes was under the music of “Water” and was care of Margarita Gudeva, the choreographer. The High school was included and in Literary Section by students’ works on environmental themes, by essays of the seventh graders Theodor Selakov and Ivaylo Nedelev and their literature teacher Mrs. Enkova. In this category the bronze medal was won by Ivaylo.

The trip of Sofia ended with a walk around the downtown and a visit of the National Natural museum.  This day   left in students many emotions, knowledge, hopes for saving of  nature, for balance and beauty of tomorrow.
