‘Ivan Vazov’Secondary school – Sopot, joined the cultural calendar of the city on the occasion of the 167th anniversary of Vazov’s birth.

On July 5, the premiere of the film "From Vazov to Vazov - on the way of memories" took place in the crowded hall of the theater hall of Radinoto school. It is the continuation of the first part over which the students have been worked during 2015, examining the childhood years of Vazov and his memories of Sopot. In the academic year 2016/2017, the literary club explored the life of the Patriarch of Bulgarian Literature outside the hometown, using the library collections of the School Library and the National Library "Ivan Vazov".

They organized trips to Plovdiv, Berkovitsa and Sofia. The places described in the studied stories - the Cherepish monastery, the village of Ochin Dol and Chelopek – have been visited , too. They observed emblematic and popular places, but they also found ones for which there is neither a sign nor a plate that the greatest Bulgarian writer lived and worked there. At the premiere, students and teachers shared experiences and thanked everyone who was involved in this project. Each guest received a disc with the movie.
