The town of Sopot has traditions in sports. Some students from the "Ivan Vazov" Secondary school are trained at the Samson Weightlifting Club and perform well in competitions.For two years, the eighth grader Maria Hristova Dimitrova has remarkable achievements in the discipline of lifting weights for cadets. Ivan Louhov's pupil has earned five gold, one silver and one bronze medal from national tournaments. She won her most valuable achievement in September at the European Championship in Pristina (Kosovo) -bronze in both movements.
