Students from "Ivan Vazov" Secondary school - Sopot joined the calendar of municipal events dedicated to the 168th anniversary of the birth of General Georgi Vazov and 140 years since the liberation of the city. Together with the House Museum "Ivan Vazov", they produced a film about the hero of Edirne and conducted a Patriotism Lesson, which ended with a group recitation of "I am a Bulgarian". In the library of "Ivan Vazov-1871" Chitalishte listened to a discussion with curious facts on the subject of their teacher Peter Berliev. They paid tribute to Gyoka Pavlov, one of Sopot's main organizers of defense.

The culmination of the celebrations took place on the memorial date for Sopotans - January 13. In the western park, with the opening of a memorial plaque, we paid tribute to the liberator, General Cartsov.
