Traditionally the cultural events at the beginning of July are dedicated to the anniversary of birth of Patriarch of Bulgarian Literature Ivan Vazov. Students and teachers from “Ivan Vazov” Secondary school have met with writers and editors. On July 9th they took part in the children's morning "I am a Bulgarian", in the ceremony of awarding the laureates from V National competition “Vazov’s Bulgaria” and the winner of the Children's Literature Prize - Isabel. In the holiday calendar they joined the initiative "I give you a verse".

The guests of the House Museum "Ivan Vazov" received a unique gift-poem by the Patriarch of Bulgarian Literature with hand-made decoration. The culmination of the celebrations ended with a ceremony for awarding this year's winner of the Vazov Prize - writer Milen Ruskov and offering wreaths to the monument of Ivan Vazov.
