On February 11th, 2020, the world once again celebrates International Safe Internet Day as an expression of concern for the safety of children in the digital world. Together for a Better Internet is the main motto of the initiative. Started in 2004 at the initiative of the European Commission as the start of a series of initiatives, campaigns and activities, Safe Internet Day has been celebrated in recent years in over 150 countries on all continents. In Bulgaria, the National Center for Safe Internet has been organizing a national event since 2007, preparing materials for use by schools, institutions and organizations that wish to mark the date.
The students
from"Ivan Vazov" Secondary School - Sopot also participated in the International Safe Internet Day this year. The Digital Zone Interests Club and the rough-and-tumble of second-graders and third-graders have invited their classmates to the school library under the Education for Tomorrow project and organized a non-formal course on "I surf safely." Lyubov Yordanova presented a thematic presentation. The children then discussed the risks of surfing the net and designed a poster. They all received a flyer with 8 golden rules for safe internet and individual tasks to be solved.
