We live in the city of Ivan Vazov and his home - a museum is always at our disposal, is an exceptional opportunity for all of us - teachers, students and citizens of Sopot, to enrich our knowledge of literary and cultural life in the country, to attend meetings, conversations, book presentations, talks, exhibitions, to have debates with Bulgarian writers, artists, historians. On February 27th, 2020. Arch. Orlin Nedelchev, translated and published an exclusive edition with comics on the novel "Under the Yoke" by Ivan Vazov, on the occasion of 50 years since the first publication in the newspaper "L.Humanite" (October 1969-March 1970) and 125 years since the first edition of novel (published by TF Chipev, 1894). This newly published book has collected 270 French illustrations, of which 168 comics were painted by the French artist Jacques Nare, accompanied by the authentic text of "Under the Yoke" by Ivan Vazov. The fascinating story of the compiler, accompanied by many photos, provoked the attention of the sixth-graders from "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School-Sopot and enriched their knowledge of the first Bulgarian novel. And all this when we are preparing to celebrate the 170th anniversary of the birth of the Patriarch of Bulgarian Literature, coinciding with the study of the novel in BEL classes.
