On April 2nd we celebrated the International Children's Book Day. It began in 1967 and coincided with the birthday of the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875). The circumstances of an influenza pandemic did not prevent us from carrying out what was planned for April 2nd, 2020 in the library of "Ivan Vazov" Secondary school event "Stories to be shared". We did it using the capabilities of social networks - Facebook.
We remembered the campaign we took part in from October 10
th to November 15th, organized by Kinder Bulgaria. "Sharing Stories" - a great initiative for reading, for writing, for the book and the mouse, for the stories, for the phantasmagoria, for the children who love to read, for the children to whom they read. A story that enriched the fund of the school library - the link between teachers and students in the educational process. A story that unites everyone - management, teachers, staff, students, parents, citizens and friends. And we proved that TOGETHER WE CAN WIN.
We had a wide selection - 5000 titles, suitable for children, at https://www.ozone.bg/istorii-za-spodelyane/. We stopped at 249 worth BGN 3,010.27. The selection turned out to be difficult, but we satisfied the wishes of the students - to be newly published, to be fun, fantastic, romantic, of course, there are also educational ones.On the day of the children's book from 15:00. the children from the club "Pearl of Magic" participated in an online meeting with the author of "Motots" - Radostina Nikolova, at the invitation of the library in the Community Center "Ivan Vazov-1871" -Sopot. From 17:00, followed a live broadcast of the Community Center "Vasil Levski 1928" -Sofia, where Boris Samarinov presented the biography of Hans Christian Andersen and read his stories. The club has a group in Messenger since March 19
th and receives daily videos of Val Stoeva - editor in chief of the site "Children's Books". In non-standard conditions, we continue to read in order to take part in the voting for the "Magic Pearl" Award and in the Book Walker challenge. READING IS A PLEASURE. #ReadTogether
